About Me

Hey there, I’m Melech Mizrahi and this is my online blog and portfolio. I live in Los Angeles, California. I currently do freelance work for a few companies, and am an in house developer in another. I might be available for work, so do contact me if you have a project in mind.

In my spare time I love to watch T.V. or play some video games. I play a variety of genres including: First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters, and some RTS games.

My Work

I currently work as a freelance font-end developer, and designer, for a a Los Angeles based company by the name of Meteorsite. I basically take PSDs and turn them into XHTML and CSS based templates as well as design the websites themselves in some cases. I take on other freelance work as well when it comes my way. Check out my portfolio for a complete view of all my past works.

I got into web design when I was 14 when I did some basic HTML and CSS websites; those sites are long gone now, but they were how I advanced up. From around 17 on I really started taking things seriously and decided to try and re-do our school website. I took an existing template and worked it to the school’s needs and wants. Upon graduation from high school I started looking for work and was employed at Meteorsite for a few months before college took its toll on me. I, from then on, freelanced from home.

I recently began working with FanRocket doing some wordpress and wordpress template work for them.

About This Site

This is the fourth version of my website, and runs fully on wordpress; as has my site since version 2. It has all the aspects of what I do in my line of work, and so shows what I am capable of doing.

The lions represent both my name and my personality. My name means King in hebrew so it is only fitting to use the King of the Sahara as my representation. My personality is also that of a lion, in that I take things seriously and finish quickly, like a lion in the hunt.

The font used for the nav, my name, and the page names is Hurricane by fontvir.us.

Wrapping It Up

That’s the gist, but if there is anything you are interested in feel free to contact me.
